About Will Johnson

For those of you sad enough to be interested:-(

My name is Will Johnson.

I have been wargaming since the late 1960's. I have been interested in virtually every period except Napoleonics, American Civil War and Colonial Wars.
My first and enduring love is the ancient period, especially what is now called the classical era, but also the early Middle Ages. I have never been a very good figure painter or modeller, getting most enjoyment out of playing the games and campaigns, and especially setting up games and campaigns.
As you can guess, when I discovered RPG's with the original three D&D booklets and later Traveler, I was drawn to being a DM/Referee/Umpire.

I have been married for 18 years to a woman who still doesn't understand the fascination of wargaming. I've given up trying to show her now :-(

Other hobbies include Computers and Computer Programming, Horse Trials/Eventing and Free Masonry.
I don't have time to go to work, but must do so to pay the bills. I work in the Inland Revenue as a facilities manager (meaning I run the building, but don't do any taxes work as such).
